Tour 1 “Baroque Life at the Palace: Following in the Footsteps of Prince
Eugene and Empress Maria Theresa”

Immerse yourself in the history of Hof Palace and the stories that surround it. The tour takes you to the private apartments of Prince Eugene and Empress Maria Theresa, the splendid early Classicistic Ballroom and the two-story domed Chapel, where one of the happiest marriages in Habsburg family history began more than 200 years ago.

 Tour 2 “Prince Eugene’s Garden: A Masterpiece of Nature Shaped byHuman Hands”

A guide will take you to the Baroque Terraced Garden with its parterre de broderie flower beds, exquisite sculpture and imposing fountains. Then you will visit Prince Eugene’s Orangerie and the originally furnished former Gardener’s Apartment. Musical carpets and a number of multimedia installations make this tour an extremely enjoyable experience.

Hof Palace á la carte

Culinary exploration of the horticultural world of the Meierhof Manor Farm, tasting of fine schnapps and fruity jams, or creative workshops in the Pottery: these additional offers can be individually combined to complement your Palace and/or Garden Tour.

1. Country Life at Hof Palace
   Strolling through the Meierhof Manor Farm, you will discover the Kitchen and Herb Garden as well as the Orchard, visit the handicraft workshops of turners, potters and basket-weavers, and become acquainted with such rare domestic animals as white donkeys, Noriker horses and Walachian sheep. Finally there is an amicable drink together in the Distillery.
2. The Subterranean Realm
   From the Palace, Prince Eugene could disappear discreetly underground and reappear a short time later in the Tomato Garden in front of the Orangerie. To refresh our guests along this mysterious pathway, we serve them a glass of wine in the romantic ambience of the ancient vaulted cellar.
3. Made by Hand
   Following a short tour of the Kitchen Garden at the Meierhof Manor Farm, you will visit the handicraft workshops, which have been authentically restored and outfitted as they were in the Baroque period. Then we shift from theory to practice: visitors can try their hand at throwing pots in the Pottery.
4. Baroque Fragrance Garden
   Just follow your nose! Since ancient times, herbs have been used to produce a wide variety of fragrant essences. With the help of our gardeners, you can create your own special mixture and make your own herbal sachet.
5. Things Useful & Delicious from the Meierhof Manor Farm
   A culinary tour of the gardens of the Meierhof Manor Farm. The Nibbling Garden, Kitchen Garden and Weinviertel Garden invite you with all kinds of sweet and sour, mild and spicy temptations. To round out the tour you are invited to the rustic Gardener’s Apartment to taste the fruity jam specialities.
